Self-Help Resources

  • I love the way that Brené Brown breaks down important concepts such as shame, vulnerability, courage, failure and perfectionism in her books, and makes them accessible and relevant to all of us. Here are some of my favorites:

    • Rising Strong (2017)

    • Daring Greatly (2012)

  • Thanks to recommendations from clients and colleagues alike, I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Lori Gottlieb’s newest book, Maybe You Should Talk To Someone (2019). Dr. Gottlieb provides a beautiful, detailed and compassionate description of what it’s like to engage in counseling from both sides of the couch.
